4/29/2015:  As my term is over half over and we are preparing for our FREE country Music event for our Key largo Community Members on April 18, 2015.  This event is our way of saying thank you to the members, businesses and 'friends' of our Rotary Club that supports us year after year and event after event.  Your help, whether monetary ~or your invaluable time, enables us to provide many scholarships to students in our Community. I encourage you all to come out and enjoy this free night of entertainment at the Caribbean Club at 2pm to Sunset!  You do not even have to drive to the mainland for this concert!!!   Thank you, our Key Largo community, for all your support to our club!

We, as members of the Rotary Club of Key Largo, have great fellowship and many opportunities to participate in many charitable endeavors, especially those that benefit young people. We are known in District 6990 and the community as the “fun” club as we plan many activities throughout the year, in addition to our interesting weekly breakfast meetings.

To me, the simplest form of commitment is to show up. That is what makes Rotary great.   If you show up and you raise your hand when that call comes, your life will change. The people you are sitting next to have all made the same first step to show up (early in the morning!) to come to a group that many might think is totally antiquated and boring.  What RCKL has done is turn that on its head. We have fun; but what’s important is we can and should make a difference.

I promise to do my best to address as many of your ideas & suggestions you all provided.  We are all very passionate people & remember Diversity is a good thing! I truly look forward to our year together as we light up Rotary in 2014-2015 together!

Where “Service Above Self“  is our Rotary motto and

the Four Way Test is a great way to live our lives,

a key to a happy life is to:

Do all the good you can,

By all the means that you can,

In all the ways that you can,

In all the places you can,

At all the times that you can,

To all the people you can,

As long as ever you can!

Yours In Rotary,

Nancy Alvarez, President

Rotary Club of Key Largo
